The Virtual Brain & EBRAINS
The Virtual Brain Facility Hub is a contribution of Aix-Marseille University to Europe’s new digital research infrastructure EBRAINS, and complements the EBRAINS services currently on offer. Aix-Marseille University is partner of the Human Brain Project (HBP).
The Virtual Brain (TVB) is an open-source platform for constructing and simulating personalised brain network models. The TVB ecosystem includes a variety of prepackaged modules, integrated simulation tools, pipelines and data sets for easy and immediate use – for free and with access to the source code, on average MacBooks, faculty Linux servers or cutting-edge supercomputers.
TVB is the full-brain simulator in EBRAINS and directly links to other large-scale neuroinformatics efforts such as the Allen Institute’s Mouse atlas or the Human Brain Project.
This official EBRAINS Facility Hub serves as a starting point for clinical and computational neuroscientists, providing a concise map to the multitude of sites and services in the TVB ecosystem.
